She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Warren Bourque, John Bourque, Jr., Paul Bourque, Curtis LeBlanc, Jr., Kayde Nicholas, and Preston Miguez. Honorary pallbearer will be Koen Nicholas.
She was a parishioner of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church Parish and a member of the Ladies Alter Society.
She is survived by her four grandchildren, Mary Miguez and her husband, Preston of Abbeville, John Bourque, Jr. of Erath, Beverly Bourque of Erath, and Margret Bourque of Abbeville; eight great grandchildren, Ashley Miguez, Chasity Miguez, Warren Bourque, Paul Bourque, Michelle Taylor, Amy Nicholas, Crystal Parker, and Brittany Parker; and eleven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elias Mouton and the former Theodora Trahan; husband, Walter Bourque; son, John Clifford Bourque, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Audrey Bourque; brothers, Ulgere, Joseph, and Maurice Mouton; sisters, Norma Hebert, Leota Mouton, Lawrence Ozenne, Elia Mouton, Nilda Breaux, and Corrine Langlinais; and great grandson, Jimmy Nicholas.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 9:00 a.m until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, April 26, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Maison du Monde Living Center, Dr. Ronald M. Lahasky and staff, and Abbeville General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
