Elta Mae Delino "Boo" Branham
August 18, 1919 — April 25, 2013
She will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Reverend Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services.
Mrs. Branham was born in Henry, LA and resided there for many years. She was a substitute teacher at Henry High School for ten years, and was fondly known to her students as "Ms. Boo". She was a member of the Homemaker's Club and sang in the choir at St. John Catholic Church, where she was a member. After Hurricane Rita destroyed their home in 2005, she and her husband moved to Eastridge Assisted Living in Abbeville, LA.
She is survived by her four children, Linda Twill and her husband, Larry of Sarasota, FL, Donna Loeb and her husband, Phil of Abbeville, LA, Larry Branham of Austin, TX, and Lori Branham and her fiance', Jeremy Gaffney of Laguna Niguel, CA; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ambler Branham of Lynchburg, VA; who passed away in 2006 at the age of 98; her parents, Thomas Bradshaw and Justilia "Juice" Delino, both natives of Henry, LA; and her three brothers, Keiffer, Thomas Bradshaw Jr. "TB", and Cephus.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
