Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Audrey Faulk Mire, 78, who died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery with Reverend Ronald Abshire officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Langles "Yankee" Mire Sr. of Lafayette; four sons, Langles Mire Jr. and his wife, Vickie of Ragley, Calvin Mire Sr. and his wife, Shelia of Kaplan, Albert Mire and his fiancée, Angie Granger of Lafayette, and Dennis Mire of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Brenda Toups of Maurice; five sisters, Laura Duhon of Kaplan, Marjorie "Cobb" Jeanise of Abbeville, Dorothy Trahan of Lafayette, Mildred Willingham of Lafayette, and Patricia Faulk of Lafayette; two brothers, Nolan and Raymond Faulk, both of Lafayette; twenty grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Faulk; mother, Augusta Hargrave Duplantis; stepfather, Marcellus Duplantis; two sons, Murphy James Mire Sr. and Russell Paul Mire; and one brother, Eustis Faulk.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 8 a.m. until services.
