Eve Abshire Richard

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.
Eve was active in the choir at St. Theresa and Holy Angels in San Angelo, TX. She was a Eucharist Minister in Mamou, LA. She also loved visiting family and being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Kelly J. Richard and his wife, Barbara, Rickey D. Richard and his wife, Darlene, Jonas P. Richard and his wife, Loretta, and Jude Richard and his wife, Susan, daughters, Joan Richard, and Faith Richard; brothers, Adam Abshire, Jr. and Truman Abshire; eighteen grandchildren, and thirty-four great-grandchilren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curley J. Richard; parents, Adam Abshire and the former Alicia Thibeaux; brothers, Alex Abshire, Leo Abshire, and Alfred Abshire; sisters, Stella Abshire Duhon, Bernice Abshire Duhon, Jeanne Abshire Schexnayder, Rosa Abshire Roche, and Alice Abshire LeBlanc.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday May 13, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for church.
