She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the Frederick family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Clara Bell Frederick to Vermilion Catholic Capital Campaign, 425 Park Ave., Abbeville, LA 70510.
Clara Bell was a member of Saint Mary Magdalen Church where she served as a eucharistic minister and was a member of The Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (also named Lay Carmelites). She served as Vice President of the Abbeville General Hospital Volunteer Organization.
Clara Bell was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining for her family and friends. She loved spending time in her garden planting flowers and vegetables.
She is survived by her husband, James "Kelly" Frederick; son, Jude Frederick and his wife, Bridget of Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Rochelle LeBlanc and her husband, Randy of Carencro, Renee' Romero and her husband, Keith of Abbeville, and Joan Romero and her husband, Kurt of Abbeville; two sisters, Syble Simon of Nederland, TX and Delores Guidry of Baton Rouge; eleven grandchildren, Ali Miller, Jed Frederick, Blake Romero, Maria Romero, Brad Duhon, Nathan Romero, Ashley Meaux, Trenton Romero, Canaan Frederick, Caleb Frederick and Noah Frederick; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, James Kelly "Bubba" Frederick, II; and parents, Evert Fournier and the former Elise Luquette.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, May 24, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church with a rosary to be prayed at 9:00 a.m.
