Renella "Peanut" Davis

March 26, 1964 — May 25, 2013

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Renella Davis, 49, who died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Blake Davis, Richard Landry, Derrick Andrus, Rodney Davis, Jhad Davis and Jason Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Davis Jr., Carl Wayne Davis, Lindell Davis and Donald Davis Jr.

Renella Davis was born on March 26, 1964, in Lafayette, La., to Mr. Donald Davis Sr. and Mrs. Winnie Adam Davis. She was called home on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her mother, Mrs. Winnie A. Davis; one aunt, Louis Briggs; one daughter, April LeShelle Davis (Derrick); three sons, Damian Paul Davis (Sydra), Blake Derrian Davis and Reco Antonio Davis; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Rodney James Davis, Donald Davis Jr., Carl Wayne Davis and Lindell Davis; four sisters, Charlotte Davis (Russell), Winfred Davis, Tracy Landry (Patrick) and Roxanna Davis Ramos (Steven); and host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Davis Sr.; grandmother, Elve "Sugar" Levine; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services with a rosary to be prayed at 10:00 a.m.
