Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Albert Trahan, 83, who died Monday, June 17, 2013 at Abbeville General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Myrtis G. Trahan of Cow Island; one son, David Reed Trahan and his wife, Cheryl of Forked Island; one daughter, Alberta and her husband, Mitchell Guidry of Cow Island; one sister, Mary Ann Broussard of Forked Island; one brother, Wayne Trahan of Vinton; and three grandchildren, Phillip Michael Guidry, Robin Marie Guidry, and Paul David Trahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Trahan and the former Eve Hardy; one sister, Mae Grace Breaux; and one daughter, Maxine Marie Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 8 a.m. until services.
