Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 09, 2008 at a 2:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Michael James Guillotte, 42. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jay Isbell, Chris Matherne, Kent Broussard, Tim Baudoin, Curt Duhon and Troy Tate. Michael was certified through the Coast Guard as a boat captain for over seventeen years. He is survived by his father, John E. Guillotte of Mississippi; mother, Amelia N. Guillotte of Abbeville; two brothers, Randy J. Guillotte of Lafayette and Andre P. Guillotte and his wife Beth of Pensacola, Florida; one step brother, Troy Tate and his wife Lanay of Mississippi; two sisters, Renee Guillotte and her husband Jay of Abbeville and Melinda Pervel and her husband Tony of Mississippi; one niece, Delanie Matherne and her husband Chris of Abbeville; and one great nephew, Grant Matherne of Abbeville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Homer and Avie Nugier; paternal grandparents, Joyce and Calise Guillotte; and one uncle, Minos J. Baudoin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Tuesday, April 8th from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.;Wednesday, April 9th from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
