Abbeville— Private services were held for Stephen Roy Bennett, 64, who died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Marcille Ramke Bennett; two sons, Wilbur Bennett and his wife, Amanda of Abbeville and David Bennett and his wife, Mary of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; one granddaughter, Alice Bennett-McMyne of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; and one brother, W. Vernon Bennett of Austin, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Vernon Bennett and the former Louvean Pate.
