Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, 2013 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Claude Tilton Hebert, 82, who died Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Neil Pettit officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Bost, T.J. Woolsey, Logan Bost, Brad Mabry, Casey Mabry and Ernest Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Brady Hebert, Patrick Hebert, Landyn Woolsey and John Motty.
Claude served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He had a passion for fishing. Claude also leaves behind his faithful four legged friend, Chloe.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia LeBlanc Hebert; two sons, Brady Hebert and Patrick Hebert; daughter, Deborah Mabry; six grandchildren, Randi Guzman, Leanne Bost, Lauren Woolsey, Elise Hebert, Casey Mabry and Brad Mabry; and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Otto Hebert and the former Regina Broussard; his first wife, Verda David Hebert; brother, Ovide Hebert; and sister, Lorraine H. LeBlanc.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, July 12, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
