Jerod Lynn Broussard

January 9, 1967 — July 9, 2013

Abbeville—Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Jerod Lynn Broussard, 46, who died Tuesday, July 9, 2013.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services.

Having no children of his own, he was a father figure to all of his nieces and nephews who lovingly called him, "Uncle Buck." As big as his stature was, his heart was even bigger.

Jerod worked ten plus years at City Bar of Maurice where he never met a stranger. He was currently working at Courtesy of Vermilion in Abbeville. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.

He is survived by his parents James Curtis and Joycie Lege Broussard; siblings, Jackie and her husband, Keith Broussard, Jimmy and his wife, Sonya Broussard, Janine and her husband, Randy Hebert, Janetta and her husband, Kelly Touchet all from Maurice, Joey and his wife, Tina Broussard of Delcambre; two godchildren Ashley B. Stroder and Matthew J. Broussard; nieces and nephews, Amy B. Duhon, April Broussard, Shane Hebert, Pam H. Thibodeaux, Cody Hebert, Travis Broussard, Natalie B. Gray, Tiffany B. Faulk, Lauren B. Clark, Regan, Jonathon, Nicholas, and Allison Broussard; eight great nieces and five great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Claude Broussard and the former Lillie Primeaux; and maternal grandparents, Percy Lege and the former Zoie LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
