Jeanne Touchet

August 15, 1915 — July 14, 2013

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Jeanne Touchet, 97, who died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Harrington Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

She is survived by four sons, Pervis J. Touchet of Kaplan, Lovelace Touchet of Lafayette, Warren J. Touchet of Kaplan and Francis Touchet Sr. of Abbeville; two daughters, Mary Langley and Dorothy Landry, both of Kaplan; 36 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edias Touchet; her parents, Cleo Marceaux and the former Rosita Broussard; one daughter, Louise Effie Trahan; one son, Murphy Touchet Sr.; and four grandchildren, Larry Suire, Murphy Touchet Jr., Michael Wayne Touchet, and Joseph Dale Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church at 10:30 a.m.
