Betty M. "Betty Lou" Broussard

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Betty M. Broussard, 77, who died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Janise officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Todd Broussard of Forked Island; two daughters, Kathy and her husband, Jim Girouard of Bossier City and Shannon and her husband, Kenny Leger of Kaplan; one sister, Danielle and her husband, Charles Suire of Kaplan; two brothers, Raymond Mire and his wife, Cindy of Kaplan and Donald Mire and his wife, Lorraine of Crowley; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Broussard; her parents, Willis Mire and the former Bernadette Suire; her companion, John Hargest LeBlanc; her infant son, Rickey Broussard; her brother, Patrick Mire; her daughter-in-law, Racheal Guidry; her niece, Dorie Suire; and her nephew, Will Mire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.; with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 8 a.m. until services.
