Mrs. Pep "Millie" Hebert

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mrs. Pep “Millie” Hebert, 85, who died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Paul, John, Brady, David, Elizabeth, and Brett Hebert. The readings for the service will be provided by Taylor Hebert and Nickie Jo Melancon.


Millie was born in Kaplan and made Cow Island her home since 1950. She was a parishioner and member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Anne Catholic Church. She married Pep Hebert in 1950 and devoted herself to raising her family. She loved to travel including a pilgrimage to Medjugorje.


She is survived by two sons, Pat Hebert and his wife, Melissa of Cow Island and Craig Hebert and his wife, Tammy of Kaplan; one sister, Cecelia Myers of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren, Paul Hebert and his wife, Ashley of Lafayette, John Hebert and his wife, Nicki of Cow Island, Brady Hebert and his wife, Taylor of Kaplan, David Hebert and his girlfriend, Nickie Jo Melancon of Cow Island, Elizabeth Hebert of Cow Island, and Brett Hebert and his wife, Whitney of Lafayette; great grandchildren, Jude, Aaron, Jake, Austen, Luke, Sprague, Asa, and Naomi Hebert, and Nichole, Dennis, and Jeanne Menard.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Iris "Pep" Hebert; her parents, Alexandre' Langlinais and the former Donatile David; her brother, Murphy Langlinais, her infant brother, Louis Langlinais; and her sisters, Estina Schexnider, Mabel Faulk, and Lula Guidry.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 8 a.m. until services.


The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Kaplan Healthcare, Abrom Kaplan Memorial, and her doctors for the kind care they have provided to her.
