Alberta Theresa Leblanc

Entombment will take place at St. Paul Mausoleum in Abbeville. Pallbearers will be Bill LeBlanc, Billy LeBlanc, Bryson LeBlanc, Randall Landry, Nicholas Landry and Dr. Weston P. Miller.
Reverend Steven C. LeBlanc, her son of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass with concelebrants being priests of the Diocese of Lafayette.
She was born in Kaplan and grew up in Beaumont, TX. After marrying Harold they lived in Abbeville for 53 years until his death in 2002 and then until her death. She lived her life as so many others do in almost a very ordinary way, but there God's grace worked in her. She lived her Catholic faith throughout her life much more by doing so much for so many by words. She made the world a better place by her quiet acts of kindness. She was a member of the St. Anne's Altar Society of St. Mary Magdalen. In her final years she endured a great deal of suffering due to her Parkinson's Disease, nothing that any of us would have ever wanted for her; but she joined her sufferings with the sufferings of Christ in quiet witness of faith trusting even in this God would care for her.
Alberta is survived by her other children, William "Bill" LeBlanc and his wife, Brenda of Metairie, LA and Teesie Landry and her husband, Randall of Abbeville; five grandchildren, Billy LeBlanc of Spring, TX, Brooke Donegan of Metairie, LA, Bryson LeBlanc and his wife, Andrea of Riverside, CA, Kimi Gaspard and her husband, Dustin of Maurice, LA and Nicholas Landry and his wife, Brandi of Youngsville, LA; great grandchildren, Teagan and Kaleb LeBlanc, Trey and Toby Donegan of Metairie, LA, Gavin LeBlanc and Kayla Tauzier of Spring, TX, and Kali, Ethan and Adelee Gaspard of Maurice, LA; sister, Lorraine Farmer and her husband, Pete of Silsbee, TX; and brother, Paul Perry Porter and his wife, Cathy of Natrona Heights, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Luzzy" LeBlanc; her parents, Ralph and Yvonne Porter; and two brothers, Lionel Porter and Mahlon Porter.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
