Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Francisco Ramirez, 78, who died Friday, August 9, 2013 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Cedric Sonnier officiating the services.

He is survived by three sons, Francisco J. Ramirez of Kaplan, Jose Celestino of Lafayette, and Jose S. Celestino of San Antonio, TX; four daughters, Anna L. Ramirez of Kaplan, Letty Gallet and her husband, Robert of Abbeville, Irma Oivares of Kaplan, and Olivia Perez of Carrizo Springs, TX; 24 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Louisa Martinez Ramirez; two daughters, Olga Rocha and Norma Alicia Ramirez; and one grandson, Marcello Perez.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, August 12, 2013 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
