Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 18, 2013 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Hilda S. Hebert “Shoon”, 88, who died Friday, August 16, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Marshall Boulet officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Glenn Hebert and his wife, Cayla and Chris Hebert and his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Gina Broussard and Terri and her husband, Dale Frederick, all of Lafayette; two sisters, Elgine and her husband, Johnny Broussard of Leroy and Deanna and her husband, Howard Ratliff of Lafayette; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold L. Hebert; her parents, Edvard Savoy and the former Lela Pomea; one son, Ricky Hebert; one brother, Lolan Savoy; one sister, Gertie Suire; and one son in-law, Mark Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession departs for the church.

In Lieu of flowers the Hebert family ask that donations be made in Mrs. Heberts honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 2151 Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
