Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at a 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Thomas Sonnier, 59, who died Friday, August 16, 2013 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

He is survived by his daughter, Aimee N. Sonnier of Fort Walton, Florida; his sister, Roberta S. Broussard of Gueydan; two nieces, Tabby and her husband Jr. Benoit of Hathaway and Tammy Cormier of Lake Arthur; two great nephews, Seth Benoit and Tanner Cormier; two great nieces, Ashliegh Conner and Paige Cormier and his great niece, Finnleigh Conner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph I. Sonnier and the former Ezia Primeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, August 19 from 10 a.m. until services.
