Youngsville— Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, LA. honoring the life of James Lee Daigle, 59, who passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the home of his sister, Penny Arceneaux.
Instead of a funeral he chose cremation without a viewing.
Jimmy, the son of A.J. Daigle and Ruby Nell Guidry Daigle was a native son of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Nell Guidry Daigle; paternal grandparents, Arthur Daigle and Louise Prejean Daigle; maternal grandparents, Raoul Guidry and Mabel Roger Guidry.
He is survived by his father, A.J. Daigle; sisters, Betty Ann Arceneaux and Lisa Ann Townley; brothers, Billy Joe Daigle, Ricky J. Daigle and Troy J. Daigle; also close friends, Keith (Keebler) LeBlanc and Glen Miller.
Jimmy was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans I:E D.A.V., having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Rifleman, having taken basic and A.I.T Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Polk and Airborne training at Fort Benning, GA.
Jim you were dearly loved by Mom, Dad, Billy, Ricky, Troy, Penny and Lisa.
