Colleen Ryder Hebert

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Colleen Ryder Hebert, 44, who died Monday, August 26, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Clint Trahan officiating the services and Reverend David Broussard concelebrating. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry and Aaron Thibodeaux, Burt and Corey Suire, Brien Klumpp, and Alex Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Blaine and Joseph Hebert.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen "Waterbug" Hebert; son, Canaan Delhomme; two daughters, Claire Ryder and Malarie Hebert; parents, Gerald and Beatrice Ryder; brother, Bryan Ryder and wife, Veronica; two sisters, Rhonda Thibodeaux and husband, Larry and Iris Suire and husband, Burt; brothers-in-law, Blaine Hebert and his wife, Cheryl and Roderick Hebert; sister-in-law, Angela Menard and her husband, Ricky; nephews and nieces: Whitney and Aaron Thibodeaux; Corey, Kimberly, Hillary, Emily, and Kinzley Suire; Kara Ryder; Joseph, Alexis, Bailey, and Byron Hebert; Dustin Menard; and Schyla Babin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Her children and family were everything to Colleen. She loved baking, gardening and learning new activities. We feel blessed that she was a part of our lives and now consider her as our guardian angel.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Doris Ryder and the former Florence Janice; maternal grandparents, Sidney and Ada Touchet; her father and mother-in-law, Russell and Mary Jean Hebert; uncles, Kermit Ryder, Henry Touchet, Eddie Saltzman, and Linus Touchet; and cousin, Dexter Saltzman.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 2 p.m. until services on Friday, August 30, 2013. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday.
