Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Edward Bourgeois Jr., 54, who died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Gatte Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jo Beth Bourgeois of Kaplan; his mother, Joyce Bourgeois Bearb of Basile; five daughters, Elizabeth Joyce Bourgeois and her husband, Michael Fuller of Temecula, CA, Mary Denise Bourgeois and her husband, Mark Dewayne Bennett of Carencro, Sarah Beth Bourgeois and her husband, Alex Guillory of Kaplan, Rebekah Ann Bourgeois of Kaplan, and Hannah Louise Bourgeois of Kaplan; two sisters, Cynthia and her husband, Terry Bergeron of Lake Charles and Jessica and her husband, Ken Bussey of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Bryan Bourgeois of Basile and Eric Bourgeois and his wife, Siv of Sulphur; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Bourgeois.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 8 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church.
