Jane Toups Ramke

She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Reverend John Vining officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Allen Ramke, Charlotte Butaud, Peggy Ramke, Corey Butaud, Scott Butaud and Gerald Butaud. Junior pallbearers will be Hunter Butaud, Connor Butaud and Andrew Barras.
Jane had a love for people and life. No one was a stranger to her. She lived her life by the "Golden Rule" and instilled it in her children. Her passion was to cook for family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Walter Allen Ramke Jr. and his wife, Peggy of Abbeville; daughter, Charlotte Butaud of Houston; four grandchildren, Corey Butaud, Scott Butaud, Heidi Barras and Erika Broussard; and five great grandchildren, Brittany Butaud, Connor Butaud, Hunter Butaud, Aaron Barras and Andrew Barras.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Allen Ramke Sr.; parents John Edward Toups and the former Anna Landry; and ten siblings.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, September 12, 2013, 12:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M.; Friday, September 13, 2013, from 8:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. when the procession will depart for the church.
