Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Gregory Mouledous, 56, who has gone to Eternal Life, after a long courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his residence with family and friends at his bedside.
He will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda and Con Celebrant will be Father Steve LeBlanc officiating the services. Pallbearers will be his brothers, Philip, Shelley and Chris Mouledous, brother-in-law, Scott Dartez, godsons, Mark and Nicholas Mouledous and good friend, Wayne Sellers.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Denise Guidry Mouledous; son, Benjamin Philip Mouledous of Abbeville; step son, Ryan Gilbert of Denver, CO; step daughter, Alexis Campbell and her husband, John of Houston, TX; parents, Philip Mouledous, Jr. and the former Elaine Primeaux; three brothers, Philip Mouledous and his wife, Julie of Abbeville, Shelley Mouledous and his wife, Carrie of Lafayette, and Christopher Mouledous of Maurice; two sisters, Sharon Mouledous of Lafayette, and Rachael Dartez and her husband, Scott of Maurice; two grandchildren, Kortney Gilbert and Lilly Campbell; mother-in-law, Beverly Guidry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Cecilia Mouledous.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, September 19, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
The family would like to thank Gayle Aube, M.D. Anderson Hospital and Hospice of Acadiana for their compassionate and loving care given to Greg during his final days.
