Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at a 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. David Chapel honoring the life of Hazel M. Doucet, 74, who died Saturday, September 21, 2013. She will be laid to rest at Marceaux Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

She is survived by her long time companion, Sheldon Bourque; one son, Wayne Vidrine and his companion, Mary Ann Simon of Kaplan; one daughter, Maylinda Vidrine and her husband, Ricky Breaux of Gonzales; five grandchildren, Lance Vidrine and his wife, Jennifer, Katie Breaux and her fiancé, Zach Breaux, Paige René Vidrine, Reece Breaux, and Ashley and her husband, Kevin Choate; and three great grandchildren, Kenlee Raé Vidrine, Kaze Paul Breaux, and Zoey Kate Breaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, René Doucet and the former Eliza Laviolette.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. David Chapel, on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 9 a.m. until services.
