She was born on November 5, 1917 to the late Dr. Preston Joseph Miller of Abbeville, LA and Laura Broussard of Cow Island, LA; and was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Marie Summers;
and brother Preston Joseph Miller, Jr. who lovingly referred to her as "Toodles".

Her family was the first to sign the largest oil and gas lease in Vermilion Parish in the late 1950's which kept her active in the business most of her adult life in addition to cattle and rice farming on her family property in Forked Island ,LA.
She had a lifelong devotion to the rosary which many recall her praying constantly while driving on trips to New Orleans and places beyond. She became a Lay Carmelite in Abbeville. She will also be remembered for her large hats and black automobiles cruising between Abbeville and Lafayette searching for her latest hidden treasures. She was truly a southern lady and leaves this earth but not the hearts of those left behind ... God rest her soul
.
