Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at an 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Katherine D. Duhon, age 68. The former Katherine Duhon died at her residence in Meaux. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Abbeville, LA. Rev. Mario Romero will celebrate the mass and conduct the gravesite services. Vocalist Tammy Maturin will sing for the services. The Flower, Angel Song, Rest High on the Mountain, I Can Only Imagine, Jou la ta voir an Jour and the Old Rugged Cross are the musical selections chosen by Mrs. Duhon. Reader for the service will be Libby Maturin. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Narris Duhon, one son, John Duhon and his wife, Amy G. Duhon of Mandeville, LA.; two grandchildren, Sally Katherine and Elizabeth Angelle Duhon; her mother-in-law, Inez B. Duhon and her Godmother, Roberta H. Touchet. Mrs. Duhon was so loving and giving, she created great joy in her life. She especially loved her granddaughters and loved cooking and baking for them. Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 8:00 AM until time for departure for ST. Theresa Catholic Church. Mrs. Duhons family would like thank all of her family and friends who were always there for her. Special thanks to Father Mario Romero for calling or visiting every day with so much love and compassion. Also, Thank you to Hospice of Acadiana, Nancy, Joe, Dr. LeBouef, Holly, Lou, Deacon Davis and Father Champaigne for their love and concern.
