Funeral
services will be held Friday, May
30, 2008 at a 2:00 p.m.. Mass of
Christian Burial in First Baptist
Church honoring the life of
Daniel Grimes Chapman, 64,
who died May 28, 2008 at
Lafayette General Medical
Center.
He will be laid to rest at St.
Paul Cemetery with Reverend
Pres Riley officiating the
services.
Danny was the owner and
founder of Chapman
Construction Company. He was
a lifetime member of First Baptist
Church of Abbeville. He had a
love for hot rods, drag racing,
and Harley Davidson
motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife,
Racheal Luquette Chapman; two
sons, Daniel Chapman, Jr. and
his wife Nikki of Maurice and
Scott Gleason and his wife
Susan of Florence, MS; four
daughters, Dana Chapman
Hudson and her husband Tim of
Hornlake, MS, Kam Chapman
Doucet of Abbeville, Karla
Chapman Bengston and her
husband Ryan of Abbeville and
Kattie Chapman Touchet and
her husband
Ryan of Milton; one
brother, Jimmy Chapman of
North Carolina, one sister, Sue
Chapman Adams and her husband Glynn of Pineville;
and thirteen grandchildren
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Jimmie D. Chapman
and the former Verna Compton;
brother-in-law, Glen Adams;
son-in-law, Jr. Doucet; and
mother-in-law, Elida Luquette. The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Thursday, May 29th from 10:00
a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and reopen
on Friday, May 30th from 8:00
a.m. until 1 :45 p.m. when the
procession will depart for the
church.
