Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville honoring the life of Christine Marie Joseph Vallien, 45, who died May 27, 2008 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Leonard Charles Vallien, Jr. of Abbeville; two daughters, Joy Rene Atkins and her husband Terrence and Tiffany Rochelle Vallien all of Abbeville; four brothers, Fenwick Paul Ashley of Abbeville, Earl Doron Joseph of Abbeville, James Williams of TX and Quintin Ashley and his wife Lavern of New Iberia; three sisters, Clarice Landry and her husband Tony of Abbeville, Theresa Broussard and her husband Calvin of Abbeville and Jackie Adams and her husband Walter of Jennings; five grandchildren, Jade Atkins, Jeremiah Atkins, Tyran P. Williams, Lyraina Vallien and Ambyrana Vallien; and others she cared for as her own, Eliza Koranbachker, Jessica Burleson and Tina Vallien. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Vallien, Sr.; parents, Earl Joseph and the former Dorothy Verette; and grandparents, Edith Joseph and Mary Marshall. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Saturday, May 31 st from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
