Theodore "Theo" Ozan Harrington

January 5, 1921 — May 27, 2008

Funeral services will be held Friday, May
30, 2008 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa
Catholic Church honoring the life of Theodore Ozan Harrington,
87, who died May 27, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital of
heart disease.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with
Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.
Pallbearers will be Robert LeBlanc, Teddy Harrington, Jr.,
Jules Suire, Chris Harrington,Stanley Suire and Peter
Harrington.
Theo was a veteran of W.W .II as a Staff Sergeant in the Army,
having served in Europe for 3 years. He was a member of the
American Legion Post #29.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Laura Belle Suire
Harrington of Abbeville; one
daughter, Cynthia H. Edwards of
New Orleans; one son, Chris
Harrington of Abbeville; two
sisters, Connie H. DeHart of
Abbeville and Louise H. Fritz of
New Iberia; one brother, Llyod
Harrington of Temple, Texas; six
grandchildren, Teddy J.
Harrington, Jr. and his wife Kim
of San Jose, California, Peter J.
Harrington and his wife Lisa of
Midland, Texas, Emily E.
Edwards of Birmingham, AL,
Laura M. Edwards of Atlanta,
GA, Kathryn L. Edwards of New
Orleans and Katie T.
VanHaverbek of New Iberia; and
five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his father, Gus Harrington;
mother, Pauline Trahan; one son, Teddy J. Harrington;
siblings, Minos Harrington, Edna
H. Luquette, Clerphe Harrington,
Lee Alice H. Pere, Paul
Harrington, Lydia Harrington,
Laura Mae H. Dronet and Lillian
H.Vaughn.
Mr. Harrington was master
carpenter for over 60 years and
took great pride in the many
homes he built and the many
friendships he established.
The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Thursday, May 29th from 2:00
p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary
to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday,
May 30th from 8:00 a.m. until
time of services.
