Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Joe Grady Wise, 33, who died Saturday, December 28, 2013. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Gregory Gaspard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Simmons, William Wise, Calvin Wise, Landen Fortson, Will Wise, and Travis Gartman.

He is survived by his three sons, Grady Scott, Grant Michael, and Gage Adam Wise, all of Maurice; seven sisters, Mary Thibodeaux of Eunice, Elizabeth Manuel of Eunice, Judy Dillhay of Eunice, Pam Turner of Eunice, Alisha Thibodeaux of Eunice, Dequilla Wise of Abbeville, and Shannon Wise of Ville Platte; eleven brothers, William James Gartman of Longville, Jimmy Wayne Gartman of Eunice, David Lee Gartman of Eunice, Ronnie Joseph Gartman of Eunice, Darrell Wayne Wise of Abbeville, William James Wise of Abbeville, Travis Gartman of Natchitoches, Nathaniel Malone of Duson, Ricky Malone of Ville Platte, Brian Richard of Lafayette and Calvin Wise of Pineville; his adoptive brother, Jed Gaspard of Eunice; and his adoptive parents, Gregory and Liz Gaspard of Opelousas.

He was preceded in death by his father, William James Gartman; his mother, Martha Jo Malone; and his daughter, Faith Elizabeth Wise.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 10 a.m. until services.
