Elsie Marie Touchet

She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Shane Touchet, Wayne Touchet, Lance Touchet, Carson Schexnayder, Lee Schexnayder and Alcee Trahan. Honorary pallbearer will be Elray Schexnayder.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Touchet of Abbeville; two nephews, Shane Paul Touchet of Kaplan, and Joseph Wayne Touchet and his wife Mary Ann of Kaplan; niece, Brenda Faye Touchet of Scott; two great nieces, Triscia Touchet, and Kimberly Touchet; one great nephew, Lance Touchet and wife Tosha; two great great nieces; one great great nephew; sister-in-law, Louella Touchet; and close family friends, Mr. and Mrs. Elray Schexnayder and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dulva Touchet and the former Olita Broussard; and three brothers, Adolph Suire, Ivan Touchet, and J.C. Touchet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of Eastridge Nursing Center and staff of Heart of Hospice and Dr. Ronald Lahasky for the wonderful care they provided.
