He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Pres Riley officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Rickey Meaux, David Ashley, Lowell Leach and Tommy LeBlanc.
Through his careers as manager at McDonald's and air conditioner tech at Lennox he had encounters with numerous people, those encounters often ended in smiles and laughter, and a little lighter heart. He knew no enemies, but only friends. To all who knew him well, and those who knew him little, he was truly a blessing to all. He was a generous, unselfish, giving man ready to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon M. Hoover; two sons, Travis Hoover and Stuart Hoover both of Abbeville; daughter, Andrea H. LeBlanc and her husband, Todd of Abbeville; five grandchildren, Trenton Hoover, Tyrin Hoover, Trey Hoover, Katelin LeBlanc and Abby LeBlanc.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Hoover and the former Dorothy Stevenson; two infant sons, Kyle and Lyle Hoover; and granddaughter, Trinity Hoover.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
