She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services.
She is survived by her daughter, Garolyn C. Landry and her husband, A. Paul Landry of Maurice; grandson, Brodie L. Landry of Lafayette; two great grandchildren, Brooke Landry and Brock Landry both of Lafayette; one brother, John S. Trahan of TX; and daughter in law, Stacy L. Landry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Arthie Trahan and the former Cecile Duhon; husband, Howard L. Carrette; and brother, Isaac Trahan.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, January 26, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, January 27, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 9:30 a.m. by the St. Alphonsus Ladies Altar Society and visitation will continue until 10:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
