Joseph Demosthen Touchet, Sr.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Joey D. Touchet, Randy Chauvin, Brock Chauvin, Brett Chauvin, Cody Vice and Tristin Bouillion. Honorary pallbearers will be Drake Touchet and Christopher Touchet.
He is survived by his son, Joseph D. Touchet, Jr. and his wife Florence of Erath; step-son, Randy Chauvin of Abbeville; step-daughter, Pheonix "Vickie" Sloan of Lafayette; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Richard of Abbeville, Sandra Trim of Abbeville and Rosa Mae Hickman of Indiana; and his loving dog, Spot.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flaudry Viator Touchet; father, John Henry Touchet; mother, Lumina Vice Landry; sister, Linda Faye Thomissie; and step-son, Sandy Joseph Chauvin.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Friday, January 31, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
