Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Margaret Richard Broussard, 81, who died Friday, January 31, 2014 at American Legion Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Emery Joseph Broussard; three daughters, Loraine B. and her husband, Darryl Campbell SR of Gueydan, Susan B. LeJeune of Gueydan, and Emerlena B. and her husband, Kirk Maxile of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; two sisters, Norma R. Cates of Lyons Point and Virginia R. Cormier of Gueydan; four brothers, Kermit Richard of Morse, Oran Richard of Jennings, Paul Richard of Gueydan, and Larry Richard of Morse; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Telesmar "Coon" Richard and the former Virgie Hargrave; two daughters, Curlene B. Adams and Cynthia "Penny" Hebert; two sisters; and one brother.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Monday, February 3, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
