He is survived by his wife of three years, JoAnne Foster of Kaplan; two step-sons, Shawn Duhon and Benjamin B. Mire, both of Kaplan; one step-daughter, Alicia Schexnayder of Gueydan; three sisters, Hershal Allday of Abbeville, Jackie Vaughn of Baton Rouge, and Darlene Cormier of Kaplan; one sister-in-law, Amy L. Cormier of Kaplan; one brother, Jim Cormier of Kaplan; five step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isreal Foster and Lizzie Mae Cormier; one brother, Ronnie Lee Cormier; and his sister, Cheryl Hebert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.; Friday, February 7, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
