Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Laura Duhon, 73, who died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Cedric Sonnier officiating the services.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clifton Duhon; two sons, Paul Clifton Duhon Jr. of Kaplan and John Randall Duhon of Abbeville; two daughters, Dianna Dean and her husband, Jo Jo Campbell of Cow Island and Bonnie Gail and her husband, Wade Langlinais of Kaplan; four sisters, Marjorie "Cobb" Jeanise of Abbeville, Dorothy Trahan of Lafayette, Mildred Willingham of Lafayette, and Patricia Romero of Carencro; two brothers, Nolan and Raymond Faulk both of Lafayette; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Faulk and the former Augusta Hargrave; her step-father, Marcellus Duplantis; two brothers, Eustis and Edward Faulk; and one sister, Audrey Faulk Mire.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Monday, February 17, 2014 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for church.
