Dolores Baudoin Armentor

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Dolores Baudoin Armentor, 71, who died Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kendall Faulk officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Fabion P. Hebert, Bryan Baudoin, Ryan Baudoin, Kevin Baudoin, Patrick Baudoin and Ben Burley. Hononary pallbearers will be Paul Baudoin, Kyle Baudoin, Gregory Aucoin, Jerry Aucoin, Ronney Thomas and Brady Broussard. Giftbearers will be Krystin Hebert, Caitlyn Hebert, Debbie Burley and Kate Baudoin. Lectors will be her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Baudoin and Wendy Baudoin. Eucharistic Minister will be her great niece, Maddie Baudoin.

Dolores married John Wayne Armentor in 1961. She was the director of the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church youth group during the 1980's. She loved working with children so much she went to college in her 40's and graduated from U.S.L. and then went on to L.S.U. and obtained a Master's Degree in social work. She worked at Crowley Mental Health in charge of children services until her retirement.

She is survived by her daugther, Kim Armentor Hebert and her husband Fabion; granddaughters, Krystin Hebert and Caitlyn Hebert all of Abbeville; brothers, Paul A. Baudoin and his wife Elizabeth of Baton Rouge, and Gene E. Baudoin and his wife Marlene; godchild, Ryan Baudoin; nephews, Bryan Baudoin and his wife Wendy, Kevin Baudoin and Patrick Baudoin; niece, Kate Baudoin; great nephew, Kyle Baudoin; great niece, Maddie Baudoin; and godmother, "Nanny" Clara B. Aucoin who meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Armentor; infant son; parents, James W. Baudoin and the former Geraldine Mildred Smith; niece, Gwendolyn Baudoin; and great nephew, Justin T. Baudoin.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to prayed at 7:00 p.m. lead by Anna Faye Larriviere; Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.

The Armentor family would like to thank the E.R. staff at Abbeville General Hospital, I.C.U. nurses at Lafayette General Medical Center, Kathryn, Jill, Kristyn and Kara; Dr. Brown, Dr. Patterson, Dr. Appley and Dr. Cormier.
