Lilly Mae Abshire Vincent

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lilly Mae Abshire Vincent, 81, who died Friday, March 21, 2014 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Cedric Sonnier officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Stevens, Travis Stevens, Corey Mire, Johnny Hebert Jr., Ronnie Robinson, and Travis Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Mire, Brock Broussard, Taylor Stevens, Triston Mire, Jimmie Bertrand, and Brody Trahan.


Leaving lots of great memories Lilly was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.


She is survived by her three daughters, Linda and her husband, Howard Stevens of Kaplan, Charlene and her husband, Milton Mire of Kaplan, and Janet and her husband, Ronnie Landry of Kaplan; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; and three step great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Vincent; her parents, Alpheus "Dado" Abshire and the former Ada Mathews.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, March 24, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
