Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville for Glen Lewis Warfield III, 27, who passed away at the Lafayette General Hospital at 11:21 a.m. on July 19, 2008, due to complications stemming from Type I Diabetes.
Glen graduated from Abbeville High School in 2001. He then attended Louisiana Technical College until his graduation in 2004. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a great and caring friend. He is survived by his wife, Rana (Touchet) Warfield and his daughter Dakota Shaye Warfield of Nunez, his parents Glen Jr. & Eva Warfield of Abbeville, two sisters, Kimberly Lattin and her husband Tim of Griswold, Connecticut, sister, Catherine Lynn Warfield of Abbeville; paternal grandmother, Gloria C. Warfield of Griswold, Connecticut and a precious aunt Mary Rose Gary of Abbeville. Also surviving are his nieces Morgan Alyse Golden of Lafayette, Brianna, Kendra and Shaye Lattin of Griswold, Connecticut and one nephew Aubrey Alan Berryhill of Abbeville.
He was preceeded in death by his paternal grandfather, Glen Lewis Warfield Sr. of Atwater, California and his maternal grandparents Iby and Euranie (Bertrand) Dartez of Kaplan.
We would like to thank the staff and Ms. Francis RN of ICU North, Lafayette General Hospital for their efforts and compassion on his behalf.
Visitation will be at Vincent's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 20th from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and resume Monday, July 21st from 8 a.m. until time of the service. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery.
