Johnny Maxie Trahan

November 26, 1948 — April 11, 2014

Johnny was a resident of Abbeville, Louisiana at the time of his passing. He was the son of the late Maxie Trahan and Ruby Meaux. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as well as retired from the United States Navy where he served as the Senior Chief Petty Officer from June 1966 until October 1993. He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his son Darrin Keone Laepaa Trahan of Maui, HI, with two grandchildren Keone and Ululani, his brothers, Daryl residing in New Mexico and Patrick of Abbeville, LA; as well as cousins whom were all raised like brothers and sisters, Cathy, Bobbie, and Joe Cali.

He was predeceased by one brother Michael James Trahan. Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday April 26, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Maurice.

As an avid bike rider of the Louisiana District Chapter B of the Goldwing Road Riders Association, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend, he will be missed by many. “Fair Winds and Following Seas.”
