Alex "Do" Mire

Kaplan—Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Kaplan Cemetery honoring the life of Alex “Do” Mire, 94, who died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Johnathan Janise officiating the services.

He is survived by his companion Beatrice Hebert of Kaplan; one son, Paul Alex Mire of Kaplan; one daughter, Annie G. and her husband, Arville Touchet of Cow Island; five grandchildren, Joseph "Tony" Mire, Christine Hargrave, Terry Mire, Tina Folson, and Timmy Touchet; six great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Simon Mire; five brothers; one sister; and his parents, John Mire and the former Remez Fontenot.
