Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Sharon Ann Vincent Campisi, 62, who died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Woody Woodruff, Ike Funderburk, John Oretgo, Glynn Hebert, Russell Frederick and Eugene Minvielle. Honorary pallbearers will be Betty Cormier, Laura Ortego, Kathy Terpening, Lisa Chaisson, Denise Minvielle, Marilyn Hebert, Tamba Wells, Becky Kirk, Suzanne Jones and Linda Woodruff. Lectors will be Christine Broussard and Lloyd Campisi. Giftbearers will be her three grandsons.
Sharon was a seven year cancer survivor who lost her battle to breast cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Larry J. Campisi; their children, Jennifer L. Campisi and Dominic J. Campisi both of Abbeville; parents, Duffy and Dorothy Vincent of Lafayette; brother, Keith Vincent of Lafayette; and three grandsons, Lane Franciszek Kasperski, Alexander James LeBlanc and Hunter Jude Pool-Campisi.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Cane, Dr. Henry Kaufman, III, 8th Floor - Oncology Staff at Lafayette General Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospice, and caregivers of Senior Helpers.
