Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Vincent Funeral Home, for John Clark, Jr., 53 of Erath, who died Saturday, August 02, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Rita A. Vincent Clark; three granddaughters, Mica, Brooke and Nikki Trahan; two sisters, Joyce Clark Cuveas and Sue Clark Hancock; four nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John and Wilda Meaux Clark, Sr.; a brother, Russell Clark; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Velton and Beulah Vincent; and a brother-in-law, James Vincent. John was a devoted husband and grandfather who loved spending all his free time with family. He had a great love for his dogs and bird Mannie. John had a passion for fishing. He was a hard worker, having been a foreman with WHC for the last 19 years. Visitation will be held at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South Saint Charles Street, Abbeville, Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday.
