Kaplan— Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Douglas R Beck, 42, who died Saturday, May 17, 2014. He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scottie Beck, Ronnie Daigle, Anthony Guidry, Steven Guidry, Adam LeBouef and Duncan LeBouef. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Guidry, David Trahan, Farrel Harrington, Jordon Beck, Brandon Trahan, and William Sean Bengtson.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Priscilla Beck of Kaplan; two sons, Scottie Ray and Jordan Thomas Beck both of Kaplan; one daughter, Megan Michelle Beck of Kaplan; his mother, Katherine Sue Boyd of Gueydan; one step-sister, Sue Hoffman of Colorado; one half brother, Courtney Roger Boyd of Gueydan; and one step-brother, Austin Beck of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his father, Myral Ray Beck; one brother-in-law, Wilford Guidry III; and one niece, Cherise Nicole Harrington.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 1 p.m. until services, with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m., Monday evening.
