Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Alby Joseph Bourque, , who died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at his daughter's residence.
He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers were Mathew Simon, Draper Hebert, Mitchel Bourque, Dusty Singer, Tyler Bourque, and Fabien Blanc. Honorary pallbearers were David Simon, Parker Hebert, and Aidan Hargrave.
He is survived by two sons, Bryan Bourque and Clent Bourque, both of Cow Island; two daughters, Lynette Simon of Abbeville and Judy H. Blanc of Youngsville; one sister, Mamie B. Hargrave of Columbia, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Bourque; one son, Michael Hargrave; three brothers, Alton, Dalton, and L.J. Bourque; two grandchildren, Erin Simon and Hailey Angelle Blanc; and one great grandchild, Hayden Mouldous
Edna Bourque nee Gallet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, July 7, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
