Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church honoring the life of Laura Falgout Broussard, 90, who died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at her residence.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Louis Falgout, Nathan Falgout, Julian Hinckley, Sammy Hinckley, Gail Nunez and Dave Falgout. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Nunez, Bobby Falgout, Joe Falgout and Kenneth Little.
She is survived by her three daughters, Suzanne Broussard, Rebecca "Becky" Abshire and Ruth "Tee" Faulk; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Broussard; parents, Homer Falgout and the former Anastasia Rodrigue; five brothers, Lawrence, Stanley, Advae, Maurice and Avery Falgout; two sisters, Nella Nunez and Louise Gregory.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the procession departs for the church.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to her loving caretaker, Connie Delcambre and also to all the ladies who gave Laura communion every week.
