Peggy Joan Frederick

December 23, 1945 — August 12, 2008

Abbeville— Peggy Joan Frederick, 62, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Ms. Frederick was born on December 23, 1945 to Theodore “BeBe” Frederick and the former Edmonia Bernard.

A graduate of Abbeville High, she enjoyed a brief stint with the F.B.I. before returning home and eventually settling at Abbeville General Hospital where she worked for 25 years.

She leaves behind two children, Elizabeth Hebert and her husband Reagan Brock of Lafayette and Kevin Hebert of Abbeville; and three grandchildren, Madison, Audrey and Aiden Brock; mother, Marie Edmonia Frederick; four brothers, Presley, Roland, Brady and Ronnie Frederick and three sisters, Jane Hebert, Joann Noel and Dean Hebert.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore "BeBe" Frederick and one brother, Nolan Frederick.

Visiting hours were observed at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 8:30 a.m until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Abbeville General for their many years of kindness and friendship to Ms. Frederick and for their assistance during her illness.
