Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Anne Lou Cabrol Hess, 84, who died Monday, June 16, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Rabbi Barry Weinstein will officiate the services.
She will be laid to rest at Hebrew Rest Cemetery #3 in New Orleans on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
"Lou" was a homemaker while raising her children. Following the untimely death of her husband she returned to work in the nursing profession for which she had been trained.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lenora Hess White of New Orleans and Valerie Hess Kane and her husband, Gary of Youngsville; sister-in-law, Bernice Cabrol; eight nieces and nephews, Dalton Touchet, Jackie Touchet Bourque, Charlotte Cabrol, Celeste Touchet, Loretta Cabrol Faulk, Buddy Cabrol, Kevin Cabrol and Chuck Cabrol; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Hess; parents, Pierre Cabrol and the former Celeste LeBlanc; brother, Manson Cabrol; sister, Helen Touchet; nephew, Wayne Cabrol; and brother-in-law, Wilfred Touchet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
