Wiley Joseph Meaux

January 24, 1965 — August 19, 2008

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Wiley Joseph Meaux, 82, who died Monday, August 18, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Art Bakeler officiating the services.

He is survived by his two daughters, Belinda Duhon and her husband, David of New Iberia and Melina St. Romain of Abbeville; two brothers, Willis Meaux and Louis J. Meaux, both of Abbeville; one sister, Lena Mae Romero of Abbeville, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by by his wife, Lois Guidry Meaux; a daughter, Lois M. Landry; parents, Rene Meaux and Melina Decuir Meaux.

“Mannie” was a veteran of World War II serving overseas with the U.S. Navy. He was a past member of the Lions Club and Knights of Columbus.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM Tuesday August 19, 2008 with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM and Wednesday, August 20 from 8:00 AM until service time.
